Beta releases coming soon. 

Development is coming quick and fast for .//Haven after a little breakthrough with the renpy engine. A few days ago I was considering moving to another engine to build the game due to how the engine store persistent data. After finding a few tips and tricks around the web, I manage to get what I'm after. 

After the last game mechanics were  added I'm happy with the progress to the point I can now focus on the story. My original concept of having this as a visual novel has  been thrown out of the window, now I'm starting create a "Simulator/RPG/Point and Click" cross.  Still not sure how it will plan out as I only got a rough story in my head but I'm hoping the game play, even though simple will be entertaining to compliment the plot. 

Made a few other changes so far:

  • Animated Snow
  • Background now loads in layers, hoping to be able to do parallax with moving scenes. 
  • Eebee's sprites are now a lot smaller as I'm planing to make the world of Haven interactive as Eebee.
  • Flavor text for items in inventory will be coming soon.
  • Adding a system for many clickable items, I've seen  games using the Renpy engine do this before, but its mostly one to two items.
  • Files has been restructured.
